This Privacy Policy describes how SJGD AS ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Ut. mobile application ("the App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account & Profile Information

When you create an account, we collect information such as your username, display name, and email address. You may also upload a profile picture.

2.2 Location Data

The App collects your precise GPS location while you are using it to show you nearby venues and nightlife options. We do not collect location data in the background when the App is closed.

2.3 User-Generated Content

We collect content you create within the App, including chat messages and any photos or media you upload.

2.4 Usage Data

We automatically collect certain technical data when you use the App, such as device type, operating system version, and in-app activity logs. We also collect crash reports, error diagnostics (including stack traces), and performance/diagnostic data to help us detect and fix problems and improve stability. This data may be linked to your account identifier. It is used to maintain, secure, and improve the service.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and operate the App and its features

• Show you nearby venues and nightlife options based on your location

• Enable in-app chat and social features

• Moderate content and enforce our Terms of Service

• Respond to support requests

• Detect, diagnose, and fix errors and improve the App's stability and performance

• Improve and develop new features

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Sharing of Information

We may share your information in the following limited circumstances:

• Service providers: We use third-party services that process data on our behalf under appropriate data processing agreements, including: Supabase (database and authentication infrastructure), Sentry (crash and error reporting), and PostHog (product analytics). These providers process your data within the European Economic Area (EEA).

• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of SJGD AS, our users, or others.

• Business transfers: In the event of a merger or acquisition, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

Our analytics and error-reporting tools are configured to minimise personal data: we do not send IP addresses or device-level personal identifiers to them, and events are associated only with your internal account identifier.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us (see Section 9).

6. Your Rights (GDPR)

As a user in the European Economic Area, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you

• Correct inaccurate data

• Delete your data ("right to be forgotten")

• Restrict or object to processing

• Data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format

• Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent

7. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. However, no system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
